Weddings ~ Who Pays ~ More Info

Who Pays for your perfect wedding? Here is more information.

There is the traditional way for paying for a wedding, and the more current financial standards.

The page that started looking at who pays for the wedding in a more traditional fashion is here.

On this page I continue with expectations of who pays for what in a more modern wedding, applying current standards. To do so, there are four important things that must be discussed. They are: Ah, the engaged couple's priorities. Here is where having The List proves it's benefit.

Among other things, The List must itemize ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that you will be spending money on for this wedding. Then, the items from The List that will cost you money get moved onto your wedding budget page. Tthe costs associated with each item are noted, and this is how you build your wedding budget.

Personal experience and investigating the sources of the items on The List will help you to find out what ball park cost figures will be. These numbers are "plugged into" your budget. For guidance in investigating sources, please see Investigate.

Here is a sample list.

Remember, each wedding is different and there may be items missing from this list that you'll need to put in yours, or items on this list that just will not apply to your wedding, so you can ignore those.

Now that you have your list, it's time to prioritize each item according to your wants and tastes. In other words, list each item in order of its importance to you.

More about list prioritization here.
