Wedding Resources; where to get wedding jewellery?

When my husband and I got married, we knew it was going to happen. Well before he "popped the question" the date that was going to happen was already set. It was my 18th birthday, and we had to wait until then as I knew my Mom and Dad weren't in favour of the match. Who knew....34 years later and counting!

As I recall, my solitaire diamond ring was $300+ dollars, and we got both wedding bands for $250 or so more. My husband's is quite a wide, solid 14K band. We bought 14K yellow gold as we were told that higher karat gold was really too soft for wedding rings.

Certainly, our rings have worn over the years. However, the reason I bring this up is that today gold is over $1,000 dollars an ounce! Many times was it was back in 1975. You folks buying wedding jewellery today have to shop smart. Here are some locations where you can shop. Good luck!
